Seswaa (Shredded Beef)

Ingredients:
- • 2 lbs (about 1 kg) beef (preferably chuck or brisket), cut into chunks
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-2 cups beef broth or water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- • Cook the Beef:
- In a large pot, add the beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add enough broth or water to cover the meat.
- Simmer:
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shredded. Add water as needed to keep the meat covered.
- Shred the Beef:
- Once cooked, remove the beef from the pot and shred it using two forks. Return it to the pot and mix with the cooking liquid to keep it moist.
- Serve:
- Serve the shredded beef hot alongside pap, garnished with fresh herbs if desired
